WADENG WINGS OF HOPE (WWoH) is a South Sudan humanitarian

and development organization currently operating in the South Sudan’s former states of Jonglei and Central Equatoria. WWoH was founded in 2005 as a Canadian registered charitable society dedicated to raising funds and implementing projects in support of peace and well-being of the people of South Sudan. WWoH was first registered in South Sudan in 2009 by Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) as National Non-Governmental Organization (NNGO) under section 26 of New Sudan NGOs ACT 2003, and has been in operation in South Sudan for over 10 years.

WWoH is a human-centered, not-for-profit, non-sectarian and non-partisan organization working towards

humanitarian assistance as well as socio-economic development of the vulnerable and conflict-affected people of South Sudan. The word “wadeng” (derived from one of the major native languages of South Sudan) simply means hope for the future. Over the past years, with the

funding from FAO, JAM International, IOM, UNDP, UNESCO, German Embassy in South Sudan, People of Canada and Embassy of Japan in South Sudan, WWoH has intensely developed its technical competency and know-how for successful humanitarian and socio- economic development programming in South Sudan.

Guiding Principles

As an NGO that is independent of political, commercial, military, ethnic and religious objectives, WWoH strives to promote peace and stability by empowering the most vulnerable members of the communities especially the women and youth. Our main aim is to provide assistance on the basis of need, regardless of ethnic affiliation or distinctiveness.

WWoH has a set of Guiding Principles in our humanitarian and development programs and these principles are aligned with those of many other humanitarian and development agencies, and include:
